Seaside 2012

In March, we spent a long weekend down in Seaside, FL for their annual 1/2 marathon.  My good friend Katie and her sister Kristi ran and Bradley and I and all the kiddos headed down to show our support.  It was such a great weekend, perfect weather and perfect friends!

20 months

I am well aware that I am long overdue for a post.  Between managing as a single mother M-F (Kevin is working in ATL for the next year) and starting my own business (Oh Baby! Maternity Consultants), posting pictures of our family on our blog has taken a back seat.  I have, however, continued to take lots of pictures so I will still post them.  They just may be a few month behind.
 But for now, here are a few recent pics of my precious girl.  She is 20 months old and growing so incredibly fast.  I am constantly amazed by her ever growing vocabulary that seemed to just take flight right before Christmas.  She has grown so tall and thin and to my dismay is starting to lose her 'baby' look.
When I picked her up from school today her teacher told me that they have started calling her 'the welcoming committee' because she is always smiling and greeting anyone and everyone that walks through the door with a sweet little 'heyo' {hello}.

These are some of G's favorites right now.

Kevin brought Genevieve back these Russian stacking dolls from a trip to Estonia last December.  I actually learned, from a recent episode of Toot and Puddle :),  that their true name is Matrioshka.  Genevieve cannot get enough of them.  She will actually sit still while playing with them. Stacking and restacking them over and over again.  Great gift Daddy!

 We just got Genevieve this very sparkly pink purse.  I love how she so appropriately has it slung over the arm of her stroller.  She is really into any kind of purse or bag that she can carry her treasures around in.

He's a happy little truck, don't you think?  She scoots him all over the place, and has even started making truck sounds as she does it, which makes me laugh.  Vrooooommmm....

Fall weather is here!

I love the fall weather that has arrived in Birmingham!  It was so pleasant outside this afternoon.  I sat in the front yard and watched Genevieve play on her slide for quite a while.  She was having so much fun, I couldn't resist snapping a few shots of her as she played.
