We finally got our tree up and now it feels like Christmas at our house... I love it!

Final Photog class

Well, this week was my final photography class...:( I feel like I have learned a lot, but also realize how much I still have to learn. It has been so much fun. I am looking forward to taking lots of pictures over the holidays and using what I have learned.

Photog class 2

These are my pics from Monday night's photography class. We were supposed to work on composition last week....don't know how well I did with that, but I do think I did a better job with exposure. This is definitely a learning process...I guess that's the point:)

I started with still life.....

..but somehow it's just not as interesting as my baby girl!

This week our assignment is to take notice of different light sources and see how they affect our pictures. I'll post my pics next week...

My newest venture.....

I recently started taking a basic digital photography class. It's something I have been interested in doing for a while and finally decided to. I've really enjoyed it so far, and have been learning a lot. I am using a hand-me-down camera from my mom. It's a Canon Rebel and I have two lenses that I interchange.
Last week our assignment was to shoot only in manual mode, using the adjustments we have learned so far. We each bring between 5 and 10 pictures to class each week and at the end of class we go through everyone's pics. So.....These are my pics from this week. Shooting in manual was much harder than I thought!

I am finally posting some pics from Halloween! We went to a block party with our friends, the Prewetts, in the afternoon and then handed out candy at our house.

Somehow our 4 month picture was accidentally deleted from the camara, :( so sad. But, here is our beautiful girl today! She will be 5 months on Thursday. She thinks she is so big. She rolls over and pushes up on her hands and she laughs all the time. If she could balance I think she would take off walking! I just can't believe how the time as flown.

We took a trip to the beach a few weeks ago....The weather was beautiful and we had a great time hanging out together and with friends. Genevieve went swimming for the first time and loved it!

This is G's 3 month picture. I think I took about 20 and this was the best one I got, she just wouldn't quit moving long enough to get a picture that wasn't blurry. She is getting so big!

This was just about the cutest and most pitiful thing I've ever seen... we put her in her bumbo in front of us while we ate dinner the other night and she fell asleep face down on the tray.
